Wee Fashion

I love, love, love, love... love (love!) making clothes for babies and kids. I love designing them, the process of sewing them together, and then watching the kids running around in them like little wildlings. I even love when they wear holes in them and stain them with popsicles. I love all of it. It makes me so happy that I have grateful kids, too. They get excited when I make them clothes, which is a bonus, but my favorite thing of all is hearing Henry's little voice say "you made this for ME?! Aw thank you for making this for me! I love it so much!" And he'll tell me a dozen times that day, or I'll catch him admiring himself in a mirror. It makes my heart so happy. I need to make more clothes for him soon.

Another perk of being able to sew is that I get to make things for other people I love, too! I got the opportunity to make another mini pair of Moto leggings for one of my dearest friends, who will be welcoming her first babe into the world this October! They are such a fun design, and I've got to find more fabric in that brick color, stat.

I also finally designed a casual dress for Della-Bean yesterday, something I've been meaning to do for months! It's very close to what I envisioned, but I already know what changes I'll be making to the pattern before tackling another one (in coral!). Her modeling skills are on point, wouldn't you agree? She cracks me up so much! Behind the camera I'm smiling in amusement as she strikes pose after pose without any queues from me. I've gotta hand it to her, I am not that comfortable in front of a camera.
