Velveteen Gown

Della is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get.

Taking pictures of her is super entertaining, the only frustrations I have are with my camera. It's OK though, one of these days I'll upgrade! This was my first project using velvet, this particular fabric is stretch velvet, and I can't get enough of it! I purchased three yards from Amazon, with the intent of making myself leggings and della a dress, I'm hoping to have just enough left over at the end to make a raglan tee for Henry with velvet sleeves because... why not?

Della's review of the dress: She loves it. She slept in it, played hard in it, went shopping in it, camped in it... she lived in it for two straight days. My review for the fabric itself: Incredible quality. Silky smooth on the inside and the most gorgeous sheen on the outside. I love it and will be purchasing it again, and I'm excited about the color selection they have! Amazon strikes again!

I also made Della some leggings with drawstrings, which she is wearing in a few of these pictures. They're versatile and cute, and I'm excited to see them paired with other tops as I continue to work on Della's back-to-school wardrobe!
